The Heritage of the Vines :
Five Generations at Domaine Crucifix
The history of the Crucifix Père et Fils estate dates back to the early 19th century.
Sébastien, the 5th generation of winemakers, took over the estate in 2010 after working for 10 years with his parents Dominique and Jean-Jacques, who made the estate prosper.
‘The Champagne vineyards are made up of a few geniuses, some great fortunes and a host of small artisan winemakers, who have to work tirelessly, work hard … I'm one of them, I'm just a peasant …’
…And Women
In 2014, Carole, who studied photography, joined him in this wonderful adventure, bringing an artistic vision to the Domaine's communications.
‘When I came back to the estate in 2002, my father gave me the keys, and he's still there in the vineyards. We've never necessarily taken the same path, but one thing's for sure: we've always gone in the same direction.
The crus vinified are positioned on several Champagne terroirs.
La Vallée de la Marne: with 5 Premier Cru plots in Cumières and 3 plots in Mardeuil.
La Montagne de Reims: with 32 Premier Cru parcels in the village of Avenay Val D'or.
